Are you overwhelmed by how you are feeling with your menopausal symptoms, and by the quantity of nutrition and lifestyle information that is available? Would you like to have more energy? To think more clearly? To sleep better? To feel less anxious? To perform better at work? Or just enjoy your days off?

Hello, I’m Sophia Rauf.  I can help you cut through the mine of nutrition information that’s available today, and get started on a journey towards better health and management of your symptoms. By the time we reach the middle of our lives, we have built a of wealth knowledge and experience, and suddenly we hit a brick wall of symptoms such as hot flushes, anxiety, brain fog and tiredness. It’s also a time when we are at increased risk of disease, including lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, obesity and heart disease. As a registered nutritionist (mBANT) and certified functional medicine practitioner, I developed a special interest in the health of women, particularly the menopause and perimenopause, when I experienced symptoms myself. I found there was little support and information for women at this time of our lives.  Fortunately things are changing, menopause is no longer an invisible word. Nutrition and lifestyle changes are simple yet powerful tools that can help you improve your health and quality of life.

My goal is to help you move forward so you can enjoy your life, whether that is to continue with your career, spend time with your family, or set off on new adventures. I will support and empower you, as you work on changes to your food and lifestyle choices. Providing you with advice and recommendations to help you discover your path to optimal health before, during and beyond menopause.

My clinical practice is firmly rooted in nutritional science and supported by scientific evidence. I use a functional medicine model to explore your health as a whole. My qualifications include an MSc in Health and Disease (University of London), IFM Certified Practitioner, and Diploma in Nutritional Therapy (Institute for Optimum Nutrition).I am a member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT), the Complementary and Natural Health Care Council (CNHC), and the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM).

Menopause is often called ‘The Change’, and we associate this with loss. But change can bring good things and new adventures as well.
